This is one of the most important addition to vim-go this year. gopls will replace the current set of tools with better and official support.

Diger tum ozelliklerin (Yük dengeliyici, otomatik failover, vs..) Türkiye ile ne alakasi ne var?

Wow, a job ad was screened on 41 TV channels (here in Turkey). What more interesting is, they used and used to import a package.

Another great blog post from Dave. I know that I had to close several hard worked PR's in vim-go because people coded without talking about the issue they want to solve. IMHO the ability to share and discuss your ideas is more important than throwing some code to the project.

Thank you to everyone who responded to my LD_PRELOAD tweet from awhile back. I wrote the blog post with some of the responses as well as documenting my undying love for LD_PRELOAD ;)

It'll be yet another client until LSP is integrated into vim core. Maybe it's a good idea or bad idea, we don't know. But having our own client makes things easier to develop and push. We'll see it.

For example before the Async API, plugin developers had to use an async plugin. Not anymore. Now both Neovim and Vim have async inbuilt in the core. I hope the Vim community pushes adding a Core LSP api into Vim.

Lastly, it's an interesting challenge and I don't think there is a one solution. I wish LSP was a core feature of Vim. Just like with async plugins, I think the time will come where LSP will be core feature of Vim, then we don't need to implement it and can use core vim-lsp API.

so vim-go will be gopls + all other features, such as syntax, text objects, features that can't be added to gopls (as I mention jump to function, :GoDecl, etc..). For the last user nothing should change imho.

vim-go will support LSP, because all the current go tools will be moved to the `gopls` tool. So code completion (gocode), go to definition (godef), etc.. will be no more useful anymore. But things like `:GoAddTags` or af/if text objects of course are still there
