I was in that newly built byte on friesian tour in 1978 4 rows of 50 pipeline milked all cows treated individually dietary requirements written on blackboard overhead .Owned by Evelyn DeRochchild so money was no problem just shows you theres more than one way to milk 200 cows.

Interesting pic of a 21 unit rotary from 1979 not as opulent as today's rotary parlours still if you read the story underneath they milked 273 cows through it in1977/78.

Last but not least cull cows these cows milked up to mid March and then grazed got no nuts and are now good to go.The British friesian is a great cull cow.

British friesian on a beef x gives a good saleable animal.these hrx heifers will be gone before Christmas also kept a few lmheifers but they were sold as sicker replacements
