Council is planning to build a new 220 space multi-deck car park in ’s town centre. This will replace the existing 68-space ground level car park. Work on the new car park is expected to commence in mid 2019 and take approximately nine months to complete.

Exciting times for Fairfield Showground! The events area is progressing with the rest of the turf being laid by the end of the week. That’s 18,000 square metres of turf covering our festival/cricket/AFL field. Stay tuned for updates on our biggest infrastructure project to date.

Parents, guardians and carers can apply for a $100 voucher per calendar year for each child enrolled in school. The voucher may be used for registration, participation and membership costs for sport, fitness and active recreation activities. More info at

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery has won the Exhibitions Projects Category of the 2018 IMAGinE Awards - for its Fairfield on Film project. The award was presented at a gala event hosted by the National Art School on Friday 23 November. Congrats to the Museum & Gallery team!
