The process arguments have no chance of working, unfortunately. Rs will say, she had her chance, didn’t take it, and we’re moving forward.

That’s certainly not the impression at UChicago—if anything, it’s the opposite. Harder to find a job, less pay, longer hiring cycle & therefore more uncertainty. That was the impression when I was in law school, too.

I highly doubt the defense will present any substantive evidence to back this up and prosecution should hammer them on this point in closing argument.

Exactly. He made a deliberate choice to issue a categorical denial. He certainly didn’t have to.

He categorically denied it. It seems like if there’s any chance he was too drunk to remember, it would have been accurate for him to say, I don’t remember it. He used similar wording in his written questionnaire re: Kosinski.

Does Ted Cruz solely take money from Texans and fund raise at events in Texas? I would be very surprised if so.

Please stop with the ridiculous notion that & Obama ended the war on drugs. Yes, they made some good incremental reforms. But there were still ~1.5 million annual drug arrests under the 44th president. Holder only endorsed rescheduling marijuana after leaving office

This is wonderful. As an aside, Oregon needs to get rid of non unanimous juries. What a travesty.

The law allows them to do it and still go bench, so makes sense for them to wait and see. Plus this helps them preserve their record on the change of venue issue. They’ll tell the judge, see—all these jurors had to be rehabbed, probably can’t be fair, venue should be moved.
