Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens issued a joint statement with his wife, Sheena, via a lawyer tonight after reports of infidelity before he became governor. Quite a kicker: "I want the media and those who wish to peddle gossip to stay away from me and my children."

No the people of Missouri will have something to say about it. We don't want a sex pervert as our governor. Resign now.

How is it peddling gossip when in their statement, they admit, he cheated on her. Verifying the story

Because he allegedly taped up a woman, blindfolded her, then took a photo without her permission for blackmail purposes.

That's great that you forgave him. Seems like someone else hasn't. Sucks to suck. ADDITIONAL STATEMENT FROM IAN HICKS: Is it really gossip if it's facts, right?

So: - He had an affair (w/e); - He lied about it (again, w/e - not our bus.); - He BLACKMAILED the lady to shush (Not Cool!); & - Now he plays the victim. Frankly, I don't get "Christian values" voters - but Greitens' "indiscretion" is small beer next to Trump/Moore!

Ah I see, so makes things a little bit more than just some private affair. If the allegations prove to be true that would be another crack that will bring down the and a call demanding deep political reforms.

The affairs are annoying and hypocritical when they so often come from "family values" candidates. But they're unfortunately pretty common.
