It's funny when people say the Democrats have no spines. You guys, they are a bunch of millionaires whose campaigns are financed by other millionaires. They have spines, it's just that their job isn't to stand up to the Republicans, it is to stand up to you.

Money out of politics is the only way to avoid a crisis in our democracy. Everyone is seeing the problems, but the parties have been successful so far in dividing us. I can sense a shift in opinions, and I think the middle class is in the early stages of a revolt.

We've literally never been a democracy in any meaningful sense. This isn't at all a recent crisis for colonized people both domestically and abroad.

You’re 100% correct. I keep mistakenly using the phrase “save our democracy” when that’s not accurate.

Very true. Witness how nastily they fight Bernie and AOC.

Exactly. I think we’re at a flashpoint where the democrat establishment will either realize they need to include economically progressive platforms & fight for them, or Americans will force a takeover of politics by people who will fight for the working-class....

...I’m afraid of the other alternative, which it seems the GOP has opted for. They chose to lie, subvert & destroy democracy to stay in power with a minority of voters. This route can only one way as their base shrinks. We need money out of politics to fix our democracy.

It's 2 parties for and against themselves to better feather their nests together. They want to pretend they are polarities when they are just a duopoly rigging it for themselves.

I wish. Their job isn’t to be the enforcers of the capitalists. Their job is to be the mime who distracts us while they pick our pockets.

Haha! Yes! There’s no difference at all between the people who keep trying to provide things like a social safety net, comfort in old age and universal medical care in the face of determined opposition & structural barriers, and the people locking up babies in Texas. Good one!

This is why more anarchists and socialists need to work to get positions in the DNC. It's surprisingly easy actually. I ended up in the state central committee here in the Michigan democratic party just for showing up.

Democrats have a very strong spine when it comes to resisting the desires of those who voted for them.
