Zuletzt hatte ich glaube ich "W3 Total Cache" benutzt, das hat out-of-the-box schon ziemlich geholfen. Ist aber auch schon ein paar Jahre her, dass ich was mit WP gemacht habe.

Eines der vielen Caching-Plugins installiert? Die meisten Seiten lassen sich durch caching quasi pre-rendern, dann sparst du zur runtime viele db queries. Das war früher immer ein quick-win

Regarding the IOT button, just did something similiar. I'm using K8s Cronjobs to water my lawn with a Particle Photon attached to a 24V magnet valve ;)
