Not to toot my own horn but I have a pretty good answer to this week’s survey (and it’s right at the top).

I believe Schur has confirmed that it’s no coincidence that essentially the showrunner of The Good Place has the same name as the showrunner of ‘The Good Place’

Crazy, but true: Grizzly Man and Hoop Dreams take place in the same cinematic universe.

Also holy hell can we tall about how breathtaking ’s illustration is? It looks like the cover art for some freaky 70s prog concept album but instead it goes with my essay and I’m so not worthy.

For I wrote about Pet Sematary, its obsession with all the awful things can befall bodies, and enough tangentially related ephemera to make question why she ever went into the fact checking business

The Ryan Pollie story (kind of weird casting if you ask me but I guess he captures your essence)

Off the top of my head, Counting Crows' (hey, it was the turn of the century) "Round Here" because nothing is more high school than ambiguous place-based moodiness when you're like a year from leaving that place for good

Showed my two-year-old Chaplin's 'The Kid' today. Every few minutes, she turned to me, beamed, and said, "I'm watchin' a movie!" And it's like yeah dude, I've got 30 years on you and I still feel like that every time.

I’ve seen it countless times starting when i was like 12, but watching it most recently and realizing my daughter is pretty much exactly Gage’s age, it was suddenly almost unbearable

is the sweet, small, tough, funny, defiantly real celebration of the daily sagas of adolescence that I’ve been waiting decades for. We may never see its like again, but we have it now and that’s wonderful.

Never seen a Spike Lee movie I would consider calling subtle, and when he’s on, that’s one of the best things about them (and when he’s off, at least it makes them interesting)
