Unpopular opinions: unpopular opinions edition! I’ll go first! Very, very few of the opinions people call “unpopular” in these threads are particularly controversial.

Honestly one of the best TV show's I've ever watched (because if there's two things I love, it's inside-baseball indie movie production shit and extremely convoluted and over-dramatic reality show competition shit)

The only reason I know of him is from the phenomenal reality competition show The Chair, which is well worth the pain I've have to endure for the past few years of knowing who he is

I went a little longer than I usually do with these surveys this week because when you give me an excuse to talk about The War Room, I can't not go off.

I am calling for a total and complete shutdown of tentpole franchise directors comparing their movies to The Empire Strikes Back until we can figure out what is going on

Denis Villeneuve’s has an A-list cast, an Oscar-winning screenwriter, and a massively popular source material, all of it orchestrated by one of the most consistently great directors of his generation. But is that enough?

I tend to side with the man himself on this one (that is if you believe that QT would ever break the ruthless realism of his movies to offer some kind of winking extratextual commentary, an audacious claim to be sure)

“Every group except women, nonwhites, and young people” is honestly the funniest thing I’ve ever read, that’s like some Mr. Show season 2 level shit.

Before this season of Top Chef started my wife and I found a cast photo and each predicted a winner based on body language and general vibe and I guessed right and even days after the finale my elation refuses to subside and I think this must be what it feels like to be a god.

Just want to say that 's team has been doing an amazing job, especially with their recent issues: "1994" & "Time". All of the articles are so memorable and poetic. Keep up the great work. (This is the kind of film magazine I wish existed as a kid. I'm glad it's here now.)

I have only ever described two things as iconic on here: Bokeem Woodbine in season 2 of Fargo, and the theatrical poster for the film Dan in Real Life. I'll let history judge which usage was more appropriate.
