What's your framework for determining whether a relationship is right for you?
e.g.:
1/ You feel lucky to be w/ them
2/ They feel lucky to be w/ you
3/ You want to become more like them
H/t @zackkanter
I'd also add "4/ They contribute to you meeting some of your core needs"

Also:
1) they don’t say “no” or “X can’t be” — it’s about tuning the probability of something to come into being by moving the flow of resources, repurposing ideas, refining emotion, calculating what needs to be true for X to happen, dotting all the i’s, crossing all the t’s

1/ They make me a better person and I make them a better person. i.e., we accelerate each other's personal growth.
2/ We enjoy spending time together. i.e., we make each other laugh, think and feel deeper.

I like this related @waitbutwhy post waitbutwhy.com/2014/02/pick-l…. My fav heuristics from it:
1. Passing the traffic test
2. Respect for each other’s way of thinking
3. A decent number of common interests
4. A general positive vibe
5. Healthy communication

Mutual trust and respect, and ability to communicate and problem-solve in compatible ways.
For me, this applies to romantic, platonic, as well as professional relationships.
