Hey , anyone out there who can offer me some hints and tips on writing a good academic book review? It's for a book which I know will be excellent, which feels like a blessing, but also v keen to do it justice! 📚

CUNY *was* free until 1976 -- the same year that the incoming class was majority Black and brown for the first time. should be on the agenda of anyone running for office, especially in a city that's home to one of the most segregated school systems.

Yeah, i mean, there's a lot of imprecise language around "foreigness" so who knows, but I've generally seen Byzantium referred to as the Greeks in OE texts. It's an interesting question, though! I wonder how the Norse described it.

Random thought: could the "sūðerne gār" used by a Scandinavian warrior in Maldon, mean it was Byzantine? was showing some mentions of Icelandic dudes just back from Varangian service showing off their Byzantine-style spears. It seems to denote something exotic...

I know it’s been read as “foreign” before. I can’t think of any instance in which Byzantium is described as southern, though.

Once again I offer you the terms “apparent,” “non-apparent” & “intermittently apparent” to describe disabilities (borrowing from ). These terms move away from vision centered terms & terms which suggest stability.
