Sorry that one thing makes this 'bad work'! I did say if Schwaab was interested too...I believe there has already been rumours regarding Schwaab to Derby too.

Yes it's true. Jaap Stam confirmed it in an interview.

I think Cocu is a really strong appointment for Derby. He struggled with Fenerbache but let's not forget the successful high-scoring PSV team he created, that also performed pragmatically to reach the Champions League quarter-final.

Cheers! Loved attending NAC Breda's stadium - one of the best atmospheres I've experienced. Mixture of reasons. Watching Netherlands in 2010 World Cup lead me to the Eredivisie and I love the league's goals and reputation developing youth.

I spoke to on the podcast to review Sepp van den Berg's transfer to Liverpool. One for the future but I was surprised that he wasn't given more opportunities to play for PEC Zwolle (especially under Stam), and the fact he rejected PSV to move to England.

Ajax signing Promes is excellent for the Eredivisie. However, PSV have to keep up - despite the fact they're not as wealthy - but their transfer intentions this summer seem to be focussed on 2-3 years' time and not on next season, which for them starts in only a few weeks...

Plus Buttner and Van Der Werff have left + Clarke-Salter and Odegaard. A quick flick through the squad and with all the names mentioned, you'd only have ten players left! Bigger overhaul than it seems. A lot of regulars going or gone.

Un joueur qui aime à attaquer. Il n'est guère spectaculaire et il me surprend qu'il y a une interesse. Il est pas mal pour Utrecht.

Not only a poacher but a really cool head (including from the penalty spot) and made plenty of assists for Willem II too on addition to all his goals. Strong, lanky, ball stays close to his feet. Great potential. Unsure if he'll adjust immediately to pace of the league though.

I find it difficult to be harsh on the Netherlands here. Portugal were at home and deserved the win. The Dutch were more fatigued and didn't enjoy any luck on the evening. Defence was strong though (De Ligt!) and overall in a very good place for Euro2020 with this experience.

In the last six years, only two Eredivisie teams out of the last twelve have survived the promotion/relegations play-offs - including this season's double casualty.
