Yes Sara, if you would like to gather, please find a bar, restaurant, casino or NFL stadium. 😳

Oh yes.... Colorado is nestled between East cost bias and left coast elitism. Nothing new, but I know full well where these ideas originated from. It is high quality work Dan and you should be proud.

“It’s a way of distracting from the harder public health work,”. calling it like it is and we all need to hear it. Our systems and policies have failed and so we pass along the blame to individuals… Same as it ever was.

We desperately need a reset on this. While we could argue that there wasn’t enough data in the summer, there is plenty of data now.

I have been following the MMR vaccine/COVID hypothesis for a while. While RCTs are underway, this is an interesting immunological study looking at MMR titers and COVID severity among recovered patients.

State (CDPHE) site can display case counts by onset date (day or week). The weekly onset/sample collection date is probably the most accurate view of cases, however even that is misleading as cases will backfill behind us.

Was thinking a casino, gym or NFL game might work too. Glad to finally see the attention that this deserves. We have failed our children.

Not just you! What you are seeing is the number of cases based upon date reported to the state system. During a surge, the time between sample collection and test result expands (4-5 days now). What you are seeing reported today was detected almost a week ago.

Thank you for saying this. I have never fully understood the obsession with this metric and certainly can’t see its link schools being open or closed.

This has been a difficult semester, but I have been so proud of the student contact tracers. Since August 24, they’ve traced over 1,000 COVID-19 contacts (and we’re still tracing). Thank you student tracers!

“Schools are an essential service (restaurants are not);” Music to my ears. January 21 can’t get here soon enough.

We really REALLY need a reset on this whole “priorities during a pandemic” thing. Now that the election is over, hopeful we can get back to science, evidence and prioritizing children.
