The complication, which this piece and the "why Biden should pardon Trump" piece don't reckon with, is that Trump wants to run again. Pardoning/dropping lawsuits would give him a legal shield no candidate has ever had before. For what purpose?

Final NYC tally shows Biden beat Trump 75.7% to 22.6%. That's actually a slight improvement for Trump. In 2016, Hillary beat Trump 78.1% to 17.9% in NYC. 3.07 million votes were cast, 320,000 more than in 2016.

Ghislaine Maxwell is in quarantine after a staff member who works in the area of the prison where she’s being held tested positive last week for coronavirus, per SDNY letter to court. Maxwell was given a rapid test for the virus on Nov. 18 and tested negative.
