My Facebook app doesn't work. Next to the Facebook icon on the apps page it says "Having trouble? Learn more". But clicking on that page doesn't provide the answer. How can I make the app live?

The take away here is, ideology is the main fuse that drives this crisis. How much investment have we made to engage the doctrines and motivations that fuel this crisis? Is it enough to focus on militarization or, adopt a combat and a profound non-combat strategy simultaneously?

(So many writers who've never set foot in Cameroon repeat the same platitudes and facts... Until last year, very few cared despite Boko Haram attacks and army violence. Not sure whether this sudden interest is good or bad, but it's interesting to watch.)

With Nur out of the way as alleged (I am still skeptical), and as he was purported to be the one amenable to negotiations, does it then imply that any further talks with ISWAP should be and must be via backend access through ISIS? Is a political solution possible at this point?

Yusuf Magaji Bichi enlisted in the defunct NSO in 1982. He retired aftr 35 yrs of service in 2017 as Daura's Finance & Admin Director but was retained by Lawal Daura for few months & then released Feb 2018. It's likely thro him Daura will run the agency by proxy. It cld get worse

Yes and so counter-productive. Met one man locked up in Giwa after army cordon-search - 125 men detained in that swoop. No interrogation. He escaped during the 2014 Boko Haram attack. Was so bitter he joined them.

The scandal that is Giwa barracks. People are dumped in detention for years without investigation - it's just pointless abuse. So many stories of people escaping Boko Haram only to be detained and starved by army. Even Igbo traders doing business in Chad been Giwa guests.
