Today, I directly urged my GOP colleagues to defend American values & reject Donald Trump’s surrender to murderous dictator Vladimir Putin. He’s against us all & our cherished democracy.

Two big challenges for young sport scientists and training app developers: 1) respect the unique experience/tacit knowledge of (good) coaches and 2) embrace the frustrating realities of complex adaptive systems. Nice blog from

Power development independent of strength IS important. Just as strength development independent of power is. Just as training both simultaneously is. Timing, ratios, individual responses, etc etc...All key.

Interesting stuff, but curious to see how results would differ in a trained population that is at risk and ecc loads the Achilles regularly (sprints/bball/vball). Either way probably a good idea to include some kind of high ecc loading in prep periods.

A notable paper. Not least how views seem to have morphed from these more collaborative days. Surely better to consider both overlap AND differences, as well as applied implications

Really interesting review from Roberts, et al. on the differences between high & low responders. 👀at the figure below...summarizes the discussion within the paper well. 🔗

This is a great article in S&C Journal. Must read if you're working w/ terminal phase rehab of athletes. "Closed" drills in rehab aren't enough. Need context of sport w/ decision making. Why we have to work closely w/ sport coaches as part of RTS.
