But if you are a republican you dont support bodily autonomy. You can say that you do, but you literally empower people to actively deny it, so...the literal opposite of supporting it.

If men can read “signals” to establish consent then why do they so often accuse us of leading them on.

The only reason this false distinction is even necessary is to allow people who support politics at odds with the "moral" column to claim that "its just politics," and they aren't bad people.

its not semantics. It's an excuse that people use all the time to distance themselves from the consequences of their actions. "I dont care about politics" is just as bad.

Exhausted by people for whom politics has little affect pretending that it exists as ancillary to the lives of everyone. "Yes that thing is horrible but I didn't support *that,* I just wanted another lane added to the freeway or a break on my taxes."

No. It doesnt work that way. When people pretend that politics is ancillary to their lives they distance themselves from the atrocities it is capable of and to which their support contributes.

I dont know exactly what his point was other than what the chart says, but correctly identifying the issues listed as "moral" as in fact, political, is essential - lots of people will say, for example, "I dont believe putting kids in cages is right but I like trump on taxes"

What's weird is that you are putting regulation of womens bodies in the "moral" realm, and so did SCOTUS, fwiw - but oddly enough its POLITICIANS AND LAWS that make it so. So strange.

the top of the graph says "I never unfriend people for political reasons" and then lists human rights as a nonpolitical reason. It is absolutely political. That you dont end friendships over politics is something you can only say from a deeply privileged position.

This is garbage. Human rights are political when one political party opposes them. Saying shit like this is just an excuse to continue propping up friends who harm your other friends.
