Every month I get an infusion of other people’s immunoglobulins, because my body doesn’t make them. I can’t fight off germs otherwise. There is a shortage of the medication and I might not be able to get an infusion this month. Consider donating plasma!

I have ITP and the last time I got ivig, they gave me the juve bag and it was amazing. Actually what happened was I saw them giving this to a child, and being the reasonable person that I am, shrieked "I WANT THE NEMO". And I got the Nemo. Boom.

WHOA. I've never seen that! There are no kids where I get my infusions. I want it!

You could just buy a sticker and take it in there, but you don't want to come off as some kind of weirdo, you know what mean?

Hi Emily, I read your tweet. Indeed there is an IVIG shortage. I manage the IVIG department at a pharmacy in Miami Florida. I currently have grams available. I might be able to help. Please reach out to me if I can be of any assistance. Yvette

I know a 4yo who needs it too, his mom asked for blood donations to help. I faint after giving blood, but I’ll try plasma. Fingers crossed.

I have done both plasma and blood, and I find plasma donation is much easier. Please consider it!

Never realized how crucial it can be until recently. I have AB+ blood, and was told that is a universal plasma donor. I’ll look to donate as soon as possible.

I have Polymyositis and get this medication every other week. I used to be wheelchair bound and can now walk. This is so important to many of us.

I haven't donated plasma in years, the machine always screws up halfway and I end up with bruised arms for weeks. I'm AB+ which apparently means my plasma is the shit. I will look for a donation site and make an appt ASAP. Thanks for the nudge, Emily.

Look for an AABB certified site-they set the bar to protect plasma donors.
