I spent hrs & hrs & hrs this spring/summer learning to embroider by turning my med school “short white coat” into art —to process and get closure from the last 4 yrs. mostly vignettes from my time, with a few pieces of beloved art (words & drawings) that helped carry me thru.

Mostly gestalt approach for these. To 's point, we know which ones need to come in or likely need to go to the OR (CT is for the speciaist).It's the equivocal cases -maybe a little sense of dysphonia, deeper throat swelling where I erred on the side of CT over not.

What is your threshold to get a CT scan in a pt with a mandibular dental abscess beyond 'looks sick' or 'looks like Ludwigs' (if even that)? -What about the well appearing patient with some mild trismus? - Should we just CT all patients with significant swelling?
