We'll match $5k to the Coalition for Rainforest Nations, which works to promote environmental sustainability, and has played a pivotal role in establishing a global agreement on deforestation in UN climate change treaties, including REDD+. 4/n rainforestcoalition.org

We'll also match $5k to Energy for Humanity, a UK and Switzerland-based charity that advocates for nuclear power, mainly in the EU. We believe that nuclear should be included in a carbon-free energy mix. 5/n energyforhumanity.org

We'll match another $5k to Third Way, a US-based center-left think tank that advocates for carbon capture and sequestration, nuclear and energy innovation. 6/n thirdway.org/issue/climate-…

And finally, we'll match $5k to Carbon180, which advocates for carbon capture and sequestration and other forms of CO2 removal. Their goal is to build a world that removes more carbon than it emits. We have a lot of work to do to clean up our mess. 7/n carbon180.org

Woke up to incredible news! Someone *extremely* generously contributed $20k ($5k each to 4 of the orgs). This was absolutely unexpected in the most wonderful of ways 😍. A collection of folks have also donated $4,290 across the orgs — what an amazing outpouring of support! 🌏9/n

I had said we'd extend the deadline to EOD today + we want to match as many people's donations as possible, so here's the new and improved plan: we'll match the $20k ($5k to 4 orgs) from the new donor, AND match up to $10k distributed across all 5 orgs in any distribution. 10/n
