This is basically how people manage to fix thousands of bugs/issues all over the kernel tree. Most of these things are reported by static analyzers like Coverity. The key point here is to determine (based on experience) whether there is an actual bug/issue to be fixed and how. 🐧

I'm excited to see this lab come together. It will be set up by Mbogo, one of KoC's newest volunteers, who we met last summer in Uganda. Mbogo has connections to Muwanguzi, and wants to help kids there gain more tech skills for better job opportunities!

Function-granular per-boot kernel ASLR! This project is so much fun. Lots of interesting problems and solutions. I expect a lot of linker work in the future...

My take at what can be done with infosec stickers: put them into a frame instead of mutilating a laptop

Happy to have fixed a bug hours before the 0day kernel testing bot (lkp@intel.com) reported it. 🐧 "Here to fix what I break." 😬

What I'm thinking reading this sad story of crit remote vuln introduced into all LTS kernels and still unfixed (now in your kernel)- this "forgot to release lock" is mostly solved problem today with static analysis. Kernel absolutely needs it as part of the dev process 1/n

Fixing warnings from "make htmldocs" is very needed. I've done tiny pieces of it and we recently had some big cleanups in security docs, but there is much more to be done. Getting there is important because then it's easier to maintain a 0-warnings build (as done for the code)
