Will still transport cars, but only after all personalized mass transit needs are met. It’s a matter of courtesy & fairness. If someone can’t afford a car, they should go first.

Boring Co urban loop system would have 1000’s of small stations the size of a single parking space that take you very close to your destination & blend seamlessly into the fabric of a city, rather than a small number of big stations like a subway

I heard a guy working for one of those rideshare places on the phone to roll out, "rideshare on a dedicated route, so you know a car will be there at a given time and where it's going." We were literally ON A BUS when I overheard this conversation.

Sigh. This does seem to be the goal, yes. Which makes me wonder, is there really anybody in any industry who really means their product or service is literally for *everyone*?

Elon, I'm fed up of yelling across the city when i want to talk to my friends, could you invent some sort of device to carry my voice point to point across long distances?

Elon, eating my food in huge lumps is tedious, please invent a device to divide it into smaller pieces

Elon, please reinvent the wheel but somehow make it require a subscription app

Or we could just use driverless vehicles to solve transit to-from the transit hubs. Hubs which are more efficient by every measure than a million tiny little stops. The only problem to solve is the last mile. That's it.

rocket skates or jetpacks would solve the last mile and make life twice as good

‘Solve’ the last mile? Walk. Or cycle.

And the last mile can be longer than a mile in underserved areas. Please, inform yourself before tossing out a "gotcha"
