Kids are essentially immune, but elderly with existing conditions are vulnerable. Family gatherings with close contact between kids & grandparents probably most risky.

They did it in China by completely shutting down the country. Even cities that weren't quarantined the streets were empty. There's no reason to assume any other country will have the same result without taking the same actions.
