Disappointed. 2 years ago I deposited $1,000 to secure a new Model 3 then waited with excited anticipation. Fast forward to this week I was set to take delivery, but due to paint issues I was unmatched from my VIN. Tesla can’t say when a replacement will be issued. Help

Sorry, we’ve put pretty extreme rules in place for paint & quality in general. If need be, we’re repainting/replacing entire sections of car or building whole new cars. Got to be done.

Are you having issues with specific colors for Model 3? Because my car was supposed to be produced 3 weeks ago and still nothing? If not, any issues with delivering Model 3 Performance in Canada?

The multi-coat colors (pearl white & red) are hardest, red especially, as it has red tint in the clear coat layer itself for depth & complexity

Probably better than getting it, being really let down about the issue, and then having to sens it back. Hopefully it won't be long man, I'm sure it's worth the wait!

What happens to the original car if paint issues require you to build a new one ?

Judging from my experience with loaners, I’m willing to bet it becomes one.

Model 3 margin is too high! Mr. Musk trying to lower it to 25%.
