Cuts to CUNY are the very LAST thing the city should be considering right now. In times of crisis, we invest in social mobility & the next generation. That's how we emerge from crisis.

Government should treat the need to reopen schools as an emergency with billions to help. Instead theyโ€™re letting everything slide. via

Safely reopening schools should be the main focus of how to apply such filtration systems..Malls and indoor dining can wait

In April, NYS eliminated the process known as "second parent adoption" โ€” providing parents an immediate pathway to be legally recognized as their child's parents. Here's why that matters.

testing-->contact tracing is cornerstone of NYS COVID-19 policy...bars are too often anonymous contacts..so no tracing possible...unlike schools where u know who has been there...we can do without bars, but we cant do without schools...be smart bout this!

he does announce a daily % for nyc daily...oddly, it differes from what has been announcing for NYC. It's almost always 2%....Cuomo's listing is ~1.2% for NYC. One of those figures is wrong..or maybe calculated differently?

r [null] is more important than % positives and looks like its going up for NY..once it reaches 1 or higher, the pandemic is in full swing again

It's disconcerting. However, the slightly increased positivity rate *may* be due to more aggressive contact tracing. More people who have been in contact with a COVID+ individual being reached and tested. Just a possibility. We need spokesperson from DOH to clarify if its so

There have been other protests-some quite impressive -during the lockdown where social distancing was adhered to as well as masks...Why not aim for better? So far lack of increased infection at recent protests is based on poor evidence
