What seemingly unshakeable things have been shaken in your life? Relationships? Health? Finances? As long as we continue to rely on such weak platforms, we will suffer anxiety. True peace will only be ours when we plant our hearts firmly on the only immovable foundation—Jesus.

DID YOU KNOW that 50 years ago today the first words read on the Moon were the words of Jesus -- and the first food and drink consumed on the Moon were the communion wafer and wine? It's a fact.

He is the bread of life. He is the living water. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the LIFE. He nourishes our soul, hydrates our hearts, and leads us in the right direction. Abundant life is our when Jesus reigns in our hearts every minute of every day.

Anxiety and fear threaten our peace on a daily basis. Where do we run for help? Comfort? Safety? Train your heart to rest in Him. “You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.” Psalms 119:114 ESV

God lights our way with His truth so we do not stumble around in darkness. He gives us just enough illumination to see where we are & make the choices necessary to stay on the right path. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105

God’s Word is like a pure sweetener, enhancing the essence of our lives. Other things in this life provide momentary pleasure, but only God’s loving instruction provides lasting satisfaction. “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psal 119:103

“Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast. By your appointment they stand this day, for all things are your servants.” Psa 119:89-91

From the dark places in our lives shines an unquenchable hope—eternal life in Christ and the knowledge that we do not sojourn through this life alone. “My soul longs for your salvation; I hope in your word.” Psalms 119:81 ESV

Despised. Rejected. Crushed. Jesus understands those stings, having endured them during His time on earth. In spite of those deep wounds, Jesus laid down His life for the very people who inflicted them. He asks no more of me than He was willing to do Himself.

Within each one of us is a longing to be seen. It is this very longing that makes social media such a powerful medium. Yet does anybody—on social media or in our day-to-day—really see us as we are?

Am I pursuing a deeper relationship with God—including obedience to Him—with the same fervor I devote to enhancing my career and financial pursuits? “The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold & silver pieces.” Psalms 119:71-72 ESV

Moses didn’t part the Red Sea; God did. God never asks us to face the enemy alone. He simply calls us to walk forward in faith—through sea, on water, or into the fire—& He will surround us with His mighty presence.

Abundant life is not found in the stuff of this world, it’s found in Christ alone. When He truly becomes our all in all, we have all we truly need. “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way.” Psa. 119:37

Happy Independence Day! We are so blessed to live in a free country! 🗽🇺🇸 Even if this nation should tragically devolve into tyranny of the masses or tyranny of the few, Christians can always rejoice in eternal freedom from sin through Christ Jesus.

Our eyes see many things. We observe the kindness & cruelty of humanity. We behold the majesty of God’s creation. We watch the slow decay of time. Are we seeing deeply into God’s Word & experiencing transformation? Open our eyes, Lord, that we may see & stand in awe of You

Unfortunately, many people allow their hearts to be hijacked by what is popular rather than what is right. We cannot guarded by the word unless we obey the word. “With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!” Psalms 119:10
