This item could be a big tax on (small) businesses! The Governor recommends modernizing the sales tax to include Software as a Service (SaaS), which is expected to yield an additional $4.8 million in sales and use tax revenue in FY 2019.

I concur with most of their points; however, fines don’t help consumers from future ID theft. Our own government (OPM) had a significant breech of very sensitive defense personnel data and Congress was very late to respond. No fees to freeze and thaw credit access! Tks.

Yes Ian, that was one of many a major breeches. Information security analysts believe that with all the breeches over the past few years, most US consumers’ data has been exposed. Freezing and thawing (without fees) is a strong defense for ID theft.

Over 100 million consumer’s information potentially compromised. Consumers have no control over their data that is collect and sold by the three reporting agencies. The best ID protection is freeze credit and thaw credit without incurring fees as the agencies can charge today.
