While many of the arguments are valid. Telegram has its own set of issues. When the vast majority of Telegram chats are not e2e, doesn't have group e2e support or even desktop client e2e, their commitment to privacy is laughable. Cloud chats mean everything is logged and stored.

Telegram is at least willing to have an open conversation about these issues. That said although they mention secret chats in the post most people probably don't use that feature as it is more convenient not to.
