All the signatures of all those doctors, solicitors, judges, civil servants, even gardaí, all taking part in this shame, would be seen. Defo can't have that.

Same, although in our supermarket the machines are so shitty that there are usually at least 2 staff standing there helping. Keep the machines shitty! 💪

When there's a choice between a self-serve checkout and one run by a staff member, I always go to the latter, just to try to keep the demand up so as not to give an excuse to further reduce jobs.

They thought, rightly, that major news sources would report the summary as a credible document, that lots of people would believe it, and once they believed it would lose interest or refuse to accept the real story when it came out. News outlets as dupes, works every time.

You infrequent reminder that governments who tell you that you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide are practicing exactly that when they don't want to release information that is interest to the public.

I am sick to my f*@king teeth reading these stories that just paraphrase the shiting press-release, and not actually dig deeper. HEY ! WHEN THESE ORGANISATIONS ISSUE APOLOGIES, THEY ARE 100% OF THE TIME HOPING YOU DON'T ASK THEM THE FUCKING IMPORTANT QUESTIONS!

The story says that Facebook didn't share the e-mails with anyone. Whoop-dee-doo. What the story *doesn't* say is if those e-mail addresses weren't otherwise used by Facebook? Did anyone ask?

Did anyone ask Facebook how many of those unique e-mail addresses belonged to people who are not, or who never have been, Facebook "users"?

That 1.5m figure seems to be the e-mail contacts of 1.5m facebook *users*. Did anyone ask Facebook how many (unique) e-mail addresses were sucked up?

From the article: "[AGSI] says public need to understand gardaí are only at eviction to police public disorder." The AGSI needs to understand that the public believes its members do only what the powerful tell them to do, even to the point of being told what public disorder is.
