One thing I must wonder is where they stable their train and what time it arrives into london for boarding- would it have been that last night this would not have been possible due to the lines being blocked?

Batteries and hydrogen technology I'm sure theres the potential for both. Hydrogen especially away from the currently electrified network but could imagine a battery train running off network close to electrified areas.

Having another go on @PB_Leasing Hydroflex, if their plan for local fuelling plants does come into fruition I could see definite potential with last mile solutions such as with the 88s - hydroflex is just a prototype at least and with the progress on both ...

Quick thing to note that I overheard yesterday - I believe they were thinking about having localised hydrogen production plants with wind turbines powering them or via use of overnight power to generate. Not sure how this would work but as they said "it's a matter of physics"

The apprenticeship area seemed criminally underused- seemed to be more for attracting new apprentices? Would suggest next year going for an approach which shows the benefits of apprentices to companies as I rarely saw anyone outside of the industry at the show yesterday.
