This might seem like just an elegant hack but it means discrete web archives (WARC files) can be easily shared as static web pages, without having to set up and maintain complex server-side playback software.

For example it would be fun to try to write a blog post that describes a web archive that is embedded in the post itself. Or create an Omeka plugin that could display an item that has a WARC file instead of the usual media file. These things ought to be possible right?

... and if there were easy ways to create WARC files in your browser, without needing external services, the circle would be complete: fully distributed web archives. This is when authenticity/trust will really start to matter.
