Disagree. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It shows a broken and captured governance process on eth1 if it occurs. I’m fine coming back once eth2 is live (as an investor and validator) given the new governance structure and PoS vs PoW in general better aligning incentives.

An argument for ProgPoW I really disagree with is that because Ethash was designed to be ASIC resistant, we must keep the network that way. Ethereum's social contract changes all the time.

-risk not worth the reward (i don't see asics as a threat and there's risk in changing the core hash algo) -special interest capture of the gov process (GPU miners pushing this through despite community dissent) -weaker chain security if asics removed

If progpow goes in, it's a clear sign of broken governance and eth1 has been captured by special interests. eth2 resets the power structure both by new core devs and pos vs pow.

Well, if we get to this point I will have sold my ETH because it'll hurt the value of the network and I'm not going to be an idiot that holds through community infighting/split. I'll keep my eth1 node on the noprogpow chain and consider rejoining once eth2 is live
