Instead he has prescripted answers complete with PowerPoint slide news clippings and videos. He could be so much more effective if he actually had a conversation with the friendly audiences he speaks to.

He spent well more than 13 minutes per question to not answer two (friendly) questions. (I started the timer about 2 minutes in because I was curious when he’d get around to answering the question.)

I wish would be less about rehearsed, breathless monologues and more about discussions. Disappointing to listen to him behave as long-winded preacher even in front of a small, supportive audience.

Hadn't looked at 's Pwned Passwords stats in ages and just saw this. I never knew there was that massive spike and on reflection, that's how it should be: I want to have wild, massive traffic and never have to think about it. Thanks caching! 😎

In a city with a functional planning department, perhaps counting up hotel tax dollars that makes sense. In one that barely functions under normal circumstances, the stress put on a city by a massive influx imposed by a DF-like conference makes it unlivable.

Thanks, though we’re not after the VPN market at all. If you need to hide your IP from the sites/services you use then we’re not the right solution for you. But Mac, Windows, and Linux clients coming for sure.

Impose it on the conferences themselves. 20% of advertised ticket price per attendee. If you end the practice of jacked up advertised ticket prices that are mostly given away free then it’s a twofer.

If you wanted to punitively tax anything in SF to help fix the city’s deep problems I suggest you start with Dreamforce and other large conferences. Imposes massive environmental and social costs while only benefiting Benioff’s pocketbook and ego.
