I was 59 and 3/4 when 37% of the electorate voted for the easiest thing in human history. Now, 1552 days later, with all the lies exposed, I am 63, and those who promised the stars haven't even started to build the fucking rocket. Happy birthday to me

The greattest difference between Nicola Sturgeon and Boris Johnson yesterday wasn't to do with the household visiting rules. They were to do with the way they defined the relationship between the government and the public and hence the prospects for making the new measures stick.

Interesting Brexit narrative now coming from government about potential chaos when transition period ends. Warning that disruptions will be due to `failure of EU to plan' 1/

Did Boris Johnson really say that there’s nothing more frustrating for he law-abiding majority that do comply than the sight of a few brazenly defying the rules? Yes. That’s where it all went wrong.

Christmas is cancelled - exactly as said it wouldn’t be. He has presided over failure and is to a very large extent responsible for it. I cannot think of a single government that has handled it worse than these liars, charlatans and clowns.

Given today, worth recalling how frustrated and bewildered some business leaders were by “return to office” msg just 3 weeks ago... here warned about “scaremongering” Govt sources “insinuating remote workers would lose jobs” and “superficial” back to work PR campaigns
