We know from NASCET data & other studies that stroke risk after amaurosis fugax is < < than for hemispheric sx. For RAO, it is much lower still. I don't know of any solid data supporting RAO as a strong indicator of a surgically (or "endovascularly") correctable cause of stroke.

AND.......when mortality rates are compared for DCB vs control.....no statistical difference. When amputation rates are compared......no statical difference. Only when the two variables are combined does the trend become statistically significant at very weak level
