לא אירוניה. טענה מחושבת ומכוונת במדויק, שמטרתה לשלול את האפשרות לטענה (האמיתית) ההפוכה

How can understanding the cognitive system lead to better, personalized learning methods? show how to personalize time pressure, a key feature in gamified activities, to a child's cognitive profile. Nice!

Good question. It's not yet 100% clear what is the best way to define similarity is. But you can see the specific facts in the figure Naama twitted: 3 groups of dissimilar facts, one of similar facts

Just published in a new paper with : A woman with severe hypersensitivity to interference, who could never learn the multiplication table. Once we taught her dissimilar multiplication facts(different digits) she could learn and retain them!

Despite high co-morbidity, little shared structural basis between and . Some overlap in cerebellum and hippocampus, but conjunction only in caudate. We need to do a functional meta-analysis.

Hoping for some advice: according to you what are some good examples of educational interventions/trends that have been shown NOT to work/lack efficacy by means of rigorous empirical study/meta-analysis (links to studies showing null results would be much appreciated)? Thanks!

A new paper on Letter Position Dyslexia in Turkish! Even in a language with a very transparent orthography, dyslexics make reading errors when presented with the relevant stimuli!

5/5 And the method is so powerful that it can actually reveal changes-of-mind in single trials.

3/5 Time-resolved multiple regression confirmed this serial processing of the two operands (f). Such regressions can inform about the precise timing and duration of each processing stage, and arbitrate between serial versus parallel processing.

2/5 e.g. in (e), subjects pointed to the result of single-digit calculations on a number line. In the trajectories you can see that the finger first went towards the larger operand and only then deviated towards the result.

1/ In a new review paper with , we present a novel behavioural framework that can answer a foundational question in Psychology: track and characterize the series of processing stages underlying cognitive operations.

Track the body to understand the mind. I didn't know that one can decode so much information about mental processes simply from the trajectories of finger movements! Amazing. Great review by and others

One “letterbox” in the brain, two reading routes: how does that work? We show a mesial-to-lateral dissociation in left ventral cortex between grapheme processing for phonological decoding and coarser representations for lexico-semantic access.
