Not being a MP (well, not that type anyway), nor a member of the Conservative party, I don’t get to vote on our next PM, but if I did would get mine. I like an under dog - and he’s a (seemingly) straight talking one to boot.

I only use both in suspected PMR / GCA to get around false negatives (with ESR mainly). And I would need more convincing to stop...

Never had a single such call in 30 years. Most of my “why isn’t this patient on a statin?” come in letters from cardiologists.

an internet friend of mine was just refused emergency contraception by she'd paid for online; the website states you can collect from *any* Lloyds pharmacy. The pharmacist refused for "personal reasons" & said my friend would have to "come back tomorrow". Not ok.

Interesting item on test kits for spotting spiked drinks, but the number of reports doubling is not the same as spiking doubling. Research suggests reports may significantly overestimate problem - and underestimate contribution of alcohol.

Would an expert tell me if this is as scary for UK winter 2019/20 as it looks?

Just back from Lake Como. A beautiful place but expensive and packed with tourists. If you are planning a trip there may I suggest this little gem we stumbled across. Cheap (for ), great lakeside setting, off the beaten track, and good food and wine.
