This is point that keeps getting missed. The and plans are sexist as hell. Girls get diagnosed, on average, much later than boys. The fact that kids over 6 get far less support means that girls on the spectrum get almost no help.

It says past tense (drove not driving). All of these things still happen commonly in both community & academic medicine in 2020. There is nowhere these issues have been adequately addressed. If you think so u r not talking to women, or they are not talking to you.

Dearest health care providers, engage the person in front of you (or SDM) in discussions re: merits of completing vs omitting investigations & go so far as to entertain what one might do with said results 🤷‍♀️.

FYI the same factors happen in community medicine. Not sure why we keep having to separate out academia from the community.

In fact here in Ontario the public health system will not process flu testing unless you are sick enough to present to the hospitals. It is a clinical diagnosis and usually not necessary.

Nothing fills me with dread like the instructions to "please print out this form, fill in by hand and scan or fax back to us." Seriously?

Just when you think the Ford government can't get any dirtier. Ford has appointed two new Human Rights Commissioners who didn't even apply. They weren't vetted, weren't short-listed. They're just his friends.
