TJ Haws' 18 made free throws is a Pepperdine opponent record, according to ace Pepperdine SID Roger Horne. Haws was 18 of 22 from line, Cougars were 26 of 34 from line. Yoeli Childs (20 points) joked that Haws is the new James Harden as he left the locker room.

BYU coach Dave Rose said Jahshire Hardnett's left hand has been diagnosed as a "bone bruise." However, Hardnett is wearing a soft cast. Rose called him "day to day" but acknowledged he likely won't play Saturday vs. USF.
