The government's in Scotland, Wales and NI are providing free school meals during the holidays. Didn't need to make the ask of businesses who are already struggling at the moment.

Depends mate. I'm proud to be Scottish because our government stepped in and did it, so we didn't have poor kids depending on businesses that are already struggling at the moment.

Our governments are feeding kids in need. So they didn't need to rely on already struggling businesses.

Yeah, that's kind of the point - government should be doing this. Scotland and Wales are spending money on this instead of elsewhere. It's not extra on top of what's been allocated, it's just making a different choice.

What people are missing in this is that the substantial meal thing is already in law. So if pubs don’t understand it, they don’t know the legal rules that apply to their pub, and have done for years.

And you can see from your graph that it's flattened in other areas as well, should turn down over the next week. Lanarkshire and West Lothian still rising though, that's a concern.

So have you accepted that the Tories got it wrong on this consistently over the last forty years, and your party's policies are in substantial part responsible for the state these poor communities are in? If you're going to make statements like that you have to live by them

Isn’t it more their own disregard of human poverty and a lack of empathy that’s led to them being abused?

Good god. In the last forty years social mobility has gone through the floor. Your party has been in power for 27 of those years. Accept the responsibility for what your party has done, then people might take you seriously when you talk about white working class kids.

I think the Saracens logo is a bit more than a shape - more a symbol associated with a religion.

*wonders if you've abbreviated "it shall never improve" or "it will never improve", in order to understand if the statement is emphatic or not....
