Why? Bunch of adults acting like spoiled children. Plenty of immature people in gen pop, too.

Somewhat disingenuous tweet by to say that has no faults or issues. That's far from true. It's generally a great company with good engineering values and products that speak for themselves, but saying it's perfect is a cop-out.

Your case is confounded by the fact that first compilation of any C++ project is a painful process. But the incremental compiler has gotten really good lately, only recompiling the things that have changed. Really amazing work by MSFT there.

Someone (maybe ) should do research on energy savings introduced by Rider vs Visual Studio in an experimental setting. I suspect there are significant differences there, and implications for e.g. laptop battery life.

Hmm, I had an A4 printer that worked just fine with cheap paper. But I guess those days are over.

LPT: large format printers don't work well with cheap, thin 80gcm paper. They want you to buy expensive paper for your expensive printer.

Still happening when creating DB connection directly, but I explicitly installed the driver from the menu, and now everything works.

One example would be PowerPoint. It's default presentation size is 16:9 and today most people make presentations in this format.

A 10% increase in vertical size does not help with anything. It's marginal. What it does do is interfere with natural size to which games, movies and often even applications are programmed.

It's 2020 and companies still make laptops with 16:10 displays... sad.
