Mojave theme… humble beginnings.. Now that Catalina is around the corner guess who decided to port the fan-art based Re-Somatic theme for High Sierra over to macOS Mojave .. 🥳

Thanks so much! I really didn’t know what to expect, but once i went with the sun instead of normal blue sky, it started to click together in my head with the sunset and playing with the limited set of marker colors 🥳

Next challenge is figuring out how to scan it, it’s on a bit larger paper than normal 😅

Yeah, limited color palette forced me to get more creative instead of making everything green, should try that more often haha

Wow, wildly different colors in the progress shots, the finished one is the most accurate though (outdoor lighting wins)

It’s cute! Details-wise, you could look at sacrificing some of the bottom to add a pixel or two padding to the top, it feels a bit cramped (although with that expression you may want this feeling which is also ok). Could have stars non-symmetric if there are pleasing positions.

Study/practice the fundamental rules of art and design and you can adapt to any tool (also good for experienced designers to do). Books like “how pictures work” or “color and light”. Deep dive into YouTube is powerful too. Follow lots of different kinds of artists. Stay curious

They’re Posca brand, says fine point but it’s like a sharpie size/feel to it (but opaque!)

Thanks! Limited paint color choices helped push me there, excited that it worked out in such a fun way 🥳
