Must have been way more low end taco joints when they opened ;)

That would be a huge improvement lol - our food court has 5 empty storefronts, a restroom, a steak sandwich/baked potato spot and a panda express.

how long until they've finally combined and I can at least eat hot wings on a treadmill while watching the latest film?

this makes way more sense than having 4 different shops with earrings and 5 different department stores.

I know that the majority of the times I've tried stopping by multiple shops locally, I've failed to find what I'm looking for, while searching online gets me what I need without leaving the house. It's tough to compete with this disruption in the traditional shopping experience

My local, Southdale, (first indoor mall in the US) is a ghost town 90% of the time, though macy's/AMC/dining hang on. They've sold off big chunks of parking lot to condos/hotels. A massive Lifetime fitness is moving in as an anchor which is interesting twist.

Two failings that big in the past 20 years should have been the end of it were it not for the losers who won clinging on for dear life.

I’d say it’s 99% online ordering with home delivery and 1% competition from other malls. None of them are doing particularly well other than perhaps tourist destinations like MOA

Funny until you realize Genie intends to do just that (or at least make recommendations)

The point is that people were able to go for a year then for a fraction of the cost of a day now. Presumably then as now it’s a fruit salad of activities. Also here’s some nice data:
