1. That should already happen by default, at least if you go up via the toolbar button or hotkey. The folder tree doesn't do it, but you can delete/rename directly from the tree anyway. 2. Might be possible with scripting, but have you tried having drive buttons on your toolbars?

It's possible the installer had opened a window asking some other questions, which sometimes opens behind the installer window at the end of the install process (something we're looking into). If it happens again, please check the taskbar to see if something else has opened.

Using the forum for technical questions would also be better, since then we can include more detail, inline screenshots, etc. which are harder in tweets, and more of the team & community will see the posts there as well. :)

You can search the Preferences dialog, but it won't find that option since it's not (directly) within the Preferences dialog. It's part of Folder Formats aka Folder Options. This is a good place to start:

Hi, the sale finished this morning (Australian time) but if you email sales they might be able to do something. I can't promise as it is not my department, but it doesn't hurt to ask:

If the "Keep folders sorted alphabetically" option is turned on in the folder format then folders will stay alphabetical but files will still sort how you tell them. Is that what you're seeing?
