I remember my father telling me, when they were young, a red brick would be heated by the fire and then wrapped in cloth as a makeshift hot water bottle. They were the days, hardy out!

That should read Archbishop Mc Quaid, I don't think he was made Cardinal.

Quite possibly. Mc Cormack was closely associated with the Vatican, and he wouldn't want to get on the bad side of Cardinal Mc Quaid I would imagine. A pity really, his voice would have suited Percy's ballads.

I was surprised to hear that Count John Mc Cormack never entertained any Percy French songs, possibly due to the different religious affiliations of both.

Pochettino is not as good as many people think he is. Ole will need to be replaced down the road, but not at the expense of getting another mediocre manager.

Harry Maguire comes across as a very honest and straightforward Yorkshire man. He will give us honesty of effort, integrity and passion in every game. We couldn't have asked for a better Captain of Manchester United.

The strange thing is that many people who should have voted Labour since the 1930's, actually voted for Fianna Fail. Looks like family allegiances to the Civil War parties are still strong, and may take another few generations to weaken.

Poor little dog, and this is way beyond the bounds of cruelty. This is a terrible indictment on our species and hard to believe that somebody would do something so awfully deliberate. I suppose she will get a 'suspended sentence', like the rest of them.

What would make them stay, I wonder. Does it happen occasionally, irregardless of changes to the world climate?
