Great work, Simon Bird! Watched Days of the Bagnold Summer - awkward, introverted teenager has to spend summer with his amiable mum due to last-minute change of plans. Poignant, quirky, ultimately uplifting, very relatable. And Mr Porter is a slimy fish...

I loved As a parent to a moody 16 year old I kept turning to my wife during the film and smiling as it was all too familiar. I've googled about teenagers spending hours in the shower! Brilliant. Well done & all involved

Such a poignant, gentle tale of everyday human battles and finding out who we are, whether we’re 15 or 50. is wonderful in it

Watched this beautiful film last night and absolutely loved it! Very nostalgic for a teen metalhead also and just a really sweet watch. Odd there was zero Metallica on the soundtrack though - but I’m assuming tricky rights issues!
