This is all part of Trump building a case, in the public domain, for firing Rosenstein and/or Mueller. The pushback to this from media must be strong—given that there is absolutely nothing illegal about the appointment of a Special Counsel by the DOJ in the Russia investigation.

Aye, there's the rub. Seems to be covering up a cover up. Can't beleive his "FBI loyalty" extends to those subverting their institution's charge. Maybe thinking he needs to let revelations unfold under IG, or saving own image but something's not kosher here and Comey knows it.

And, pointedly, we want to know if was *actively* misled that a review was underway or could not be quickly done, and his response to said "delays." Otherwise, how could he have dropped the ball until election week.

When the dark chapter of the Trump presidency is written in the history books, the harshest criticism will be reserved for the GOP leadership in Congress, which put party over country and refused to defend our institutions and the rule of law when they were most at risk.

Yes, and this has always been the problem for me. If he ordered and "thought" a review was being done, knowing the significance to the election, why didn't he follow up/demand results when none appeared forthwith? Or was he misled?? There's more to this tale...

And people wonder why Putin is "popular" with total control of Russian politics, civil society, and the media? One year of Trump & one cable channel and half the GOP happily attacks the FBI!

A day before the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a U.S. president messaged 50 million people to complain that certain "infested" areas of his country are serving as "breeding" sites for a minority population he disfavors. That's exactly how the Germans saw Warsaw.

So, on a day Sean Hannity is exposed as Michael Cohen's client (having never disclosed this on-air in pro-Trump/Cohen tirades) publications that , Hannity & Cohen brand "fake news" won Pulitzer Prizes. Karma's ironic.

3/ Media watchdogs have told media for a year now to STOP reporting Trump and his team's claims regarding their motivations or thinking as FACT—on the basis of Team Trump having failed to establish the basic source credibility journalism requires. The watchdogs have been ignored.

Let me translate this into legal terms: it's called a "conspiracy to obstruct justice." The president is *literally recruiting people into a conspiracy*—and publicly.
