Just a detective look to find authors and books to share with teachers and parents to enjoy. Working with students to find a smidge of love for books.

Have you seen the latest episode of with & me? We are whipping up a treat based on Elly's new book GIVE AND TAKE & throwing it back to the 70s on the dance floor:

I have parent conferences and open house coming up. I always make a help wanted board or donation tree and place it in the doorway. I usually put sticky notes or pictures of what we could use in our classroom. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

I am making gifts for my children’s teacher this year. It’s important for my boys to feel the joy of giving. We can give supplies after the holidays.

Parent perspective. I support this.. just make sure your list has a range of prices. I may not be able to buy the printer I would be willing to buy a couple of pack of expos or pencils.but it is also the holidays and as a parent my focus on any extra is on that. Maybe January?

As a parent I would support this. We try to give extra for families who may not be able.

I think for some it’s just hard to ask for help.. I like the double blind thing that’s a good idea

They send an email about recommendations... I am not sure every family who is in needs is going to allow someone to know they are in need. Some purposely stay under the radar to avoid judgement. We will do a child off the angle tree as usual.

Please... stop..dropping your lists, cashapp, PayPal, GFM Or needs in posts that aren’t asking For it.. I get you have needs trust me I do but when you constantly are misdropping it makes it look desperate and the need gets over looked. Also, don’t tag people w/o speaking ever

Could you do an annual fee? Versus a monthly increase?

I decided to see if our school library has some of the authors that I have found to love here in twitter. I have a duplicate of one book I can donate.. but I was thinking how cool it would be to donate books that a library doesn’t have.. and also my boys have some.
