FWIW, I initially started with Incr_dom, but couldn't get the bundled size under 1 Mb, so looked at the alternatives. Bundle is much smaller with only react!

Thanks! I need to build a SPA and I am really happy with the setup of jsoo-react, so I think I'll go with it. Will let you know if I encounter any issue :)

Played a little with jsoo-react from The library is amazing, I ported a sample ReScript app to Js_of_ocaml without changing anything on the actual code!

I've been exploring the idea of using native OCaml to render React server side, using TyXML. The approach has some challenges, but I think it could be possible to have a quite nice experience in the future. I wrote more in detail in

Spin is pretty limited when it comes to generating things in an existing project, so having a project generation in Dune would open the door to a lot of neat use cases!

Thanks for the kind words Javier 😊 There are still some important missing pieces of the ecosystem (Mirage, Owl, Opium, to name a few), so there's still plenty of space to improve it, but I'm really glad you found it useful!

I just started an OCaml project using generator by . A lot of love and attention to detail went into it. Very flexible too, it reflects well the ecosystem breadth. Highly recommended if you're planning to start a new Reason or OCaml project :)

This took longer than i'd have liked, but is now based on Httpaf 🎉 There is still a lot to do but we have improved the unix independant opium_kernel quite a bit, and there is a nicer debug error page thanks to

Just pushed a small tool called Omigrate to manage database migrations in Reason and OCaml. It only supports PostgreSQL for now, but it should be relatively easy to implement other drivers.

I hit the same problem and I've built a project generator with templates for common use cases to reduce the time I spend on boilerplate code. Maybe you'll find it useful :)

Maybe it does! I'm not very familiar with how Revery rendering works :)

From what I understand, the project is still targeting native and it brings incrementality to the rendering, so instead of rendering the whole UI every time the state changes, it will only render the part that changed. Similar to what React does with the Virtual Dom.

There's a really nice project called bonsai_revery that wraps Revery and uses Bonsai to render the UI incrementally. It provides an example written in OCaml:

I'm working on a new version of Spin. Will be a huge improvement over the current version: - Template inheritance 🤯 - Web server template - Windows support - New template DSL - Embedded official templates, no download required And much more!
