Unlike 2014, the message with respect to Natwest (because they are no longer RBS) is quite simple. If you want to leave if Scotland votes for independence, then by all means leave. The other banks will happily take your experienced employees AND all of your customers and trade.

Alex Massie summing up the current UK administration quite neatly by asking 'What is it *for*? One nation, but what nation? The UK, perhaps...but it doesn't feel like that from Scotland or Northern Ireland.'

Blog on social security: ‘We will always put people at the heart of how we design and deliver social security in Scotland – it is an investment to create that safety net for all of us, there when we need it. We should want this for ourselves and we should want this for others.’

Westminster is not fit for purpose. It is not representative, it is not egalitarian, and it will not do for Scotland.

As opposed to the borders we will have with Northern Ireland and every other country in the world if we stay in a Brexit UK?

Gary, I know you didn’t write this headline but why isn’t it ‘Scotland’s MPs banned from voting on NHS funding’?

The contempt for Scotland laid bare. This was incredibly hard to sit through. Sneering, jeering and laughing at Scotland. No wonder support for independence is growing

The Irish leaders’ debate is really quite shocking. The three leaders have a detailed grasp of complex welfare and tax issues, they are polite and courteous, they admit mistakes, they say sorry. They might even be largely honest. Why is all that possible in Ireland but not here?

And compare and contrast the endless stream of non-Scottish MPs who take up significant chunks of time at Scottish questions.

It's pretty straightforward if some UK MPs are prevented from voting on matters that impact their constituents. An already broken system now actively discriminates against non-English MPs (and therefore their constituents). And it's a shame you are not allowed to even discuss it.

Absolutely. The UK is broken. It doesn't even serve all of England well.

SNP MPs trying to vote now. Suspect they just won’t be counted... but they’re furious because they say Bill has funding implications for Scotland.

The letter O'Neill sent to Boris Johnson is explosive. Includes a charge that he is considering relocating COP to England because of his constitutional and personal rows with Nicola Sturgeon. Read here:
