I just heard Larry Summers challenge the notion that inequality is particularly bad today by nothing that inequality is better than it’s ever been and that we should be thankful.

Notice how whenever we pursue large spending increases + tax cuts for corporations, contractors & the connected, it’s treated as business as usual. But the moment we consider investing similar💰 in working class people (ex tuition-free college) they cry out it’s “unrealistic.”

Today I witnessed a young man successfully complete juvenile probation. It would have been a good day, but wasn’t able to pay $700 levied against him in time. It had already been converted to a judgement against him that will ruin his credit years before he even turns 18.

Expecting someone in power to step down from power when they have abused it and abused people is NOT disposability. It's a consequence for their actions. No one has taken their liberty. No one has taken their savings. They can find other work. Give us a fucking break.
